What’s the point?

February 14, 2009

Sometimes it does no good to want good things for someone. You can want the best for them;want them to be their best, all you want. It doesn’t mean they want it. It doesn’t mean they’re even cut out for whatever you hope for them. Sadly, they’re probably not even seriously considering it. You can encourage dn push and scold and reason all you want. Ether they want the best or they don’t. It’s got nothing to do with you. Some people like their mediocrity. So let it go.

I guess I’m a snob

But I am a magnet for people I either don’t like or have no respect for. Seriously. It’s ridiculous. And it pisses me off. I don’t need more people who don’t care about their life, have no goals, no ambitions, hate their life, etc. I need people who push me to be more and better and stronger. Not the opposite.

Geez

I never thought I wanted that much out of life. I always thought that the things I wanted weren’t that big. I thought I was a lot less ambitious than I used to be. Turns out I may as well be requesting the world. *sigh* I am currently frustrated. Disappointment could kill a girl. I really just want to be settled. Is that really so bad?

Wisconsin, oh, Wisconsin…

Bruce and I need to move to Wisconsin and buy a house and make his mom and dad come live with us. I think we will. Wisconsin is cold though! lol

*sigh*

I’m sick of trying to fix things and make things better. You can’t fix something people don’t want to be better.

Quote of the Day

February 8, 2009

“You let this man out of the house and this is what happens… you’re not buying anything ever again!”
-Kate Gosselin (from TLC’s JOn and Kate Plus 8), when Jon buys showerheads without a coupon. Jon yelled back, “Yes I am!”

I love those guys…
